“This I painstakingly collected and deposited in the pouch. I returned to the glade where we had had our initial encounter. Then, climbing to the topmost branch of the very tree that towers above us now, Wyeth, I loosed the binders of the leathern pouch and let its powders go floating free for all the posting winds of heaven to catch and carry to the end of the creaking earth. I scarce had a breath to descend before midnight struck and my charm caught hold.”
